This bus first came out in this STA corporate livery but after delivery, got stickered up into the Metrobus colours. Initially m/o9718, this bus went into service on Sunday 12 October 2008. It operated out of Port Botany depot on the initial Metrobus, route 10 (now known as m10), between Kingsford (now Maroubra Junction) and Leichhardt. It was later re-registered 2108ST and then in July 2011, the wrap was taken off and the bus was transferred to Kingsgrove depot where it was trialled for the Bondi to Burwood cross suburban route 400 service. It failed and has now been transferred to Willoughby depot to join the other 25 Scania 14.5m vehicles. This is the only one of this type of bus at the STA. It only seats 49 compared to the older 14.5m vehicles, which seat 61. |
