Ford Rail Bus FP 1 built 1937 by Waddingtons to a design by the Department of Railways Road Motor Section with a Ford V8 Mercury petrol engine. This is the sole survivor of 13 buses built with steel wheels for branch lines. FP 1 finished its career as a Pay Bus in 1968. On display at Sydney Terminal station on 19th August 2009 following its restoration to working order. It is now in the care of the Rail Transport Museum. Lester Pasley
