One of the fancy infrastructural works where the Adelaide O-Bahn is crossing the river Torrens. The route is constructed somewhat elevated in a mostly dry creek bed that should be able to deal with minor flooding. Evidently a one in a 100 year flood is expected to wipe out the infrastructure, however the government of the day elected to play the odds. This bus in this pic was sadly the first one to be scrapped after bursting into flames in late 2008.

Early Mercedes rolling stock on the guided busway, which, to this day is still exotically referred to as O-Bahn. Last year (2012), extensions had been announced at the city side, only to be indefinitely postponed due to state budget issues, which also affected the coast to coast tramway and electrifying the suburban rail network.

This was the only O-Bahn bus in the original Mercedes fleet to be fitted with middle & rear touch rollers to prevent tyre scuffing when going round sharper curves. This bus may also have been scrapped at CMA Recycling along with 576 & 583.
